Creating Custom Report Templates

Note: When creating a reporting template, the data contained is going to be determined by the filter selected. This means if you have a specific timeframe selected when creating the template, saving the template does not save the filter so you would want to set up the template with the fields you want then adjust the filter to get the reporting time and contents you need.

To customize the reports, click the "Reports" tab from the left-hand menu. At the top select Detailed Reports at the bottom of the page, there is a list of report templates. The default one has all items selected with HTML and CSV file options (this version is suitable for most users). You can add or open existing templates and customize the selected sections that will show in the report and the available columns/headers in those sections. Once your template is set up how you would like it will be available to then download the reports as a zip file or email them to yourself. These templates will also be available in the app when running reports. The automated weekly and monthly emails will use your default template if you are using the automated reports email.

Share report templates

You can share the report templates within your organization so that everyone can run the reports using that template, but they cannot edit your templates.

Additional Information

Distance Driven (Correcting the Starting odometer)

TripLog takes the lowest starting odometer from all the trips during the reporting period as the beginning mileage, so make sure that the first row of the Trips table in the reports has the correct starting mileage. The same goes for the ending mileage.

TripLog takes the highest ending odometer of all trips during the reporting period.

If you found a wrong starting odometer, search the report for that odometer number. You should see the journey, usually on the first few rows of the Trips table. Go back to the TripLog app, find the trip, and fix it.

If running a report and there is no data, or a vehicle is missing:

You need at least one trip for that vehicle during the reporting period. You will need to add a trip in the selected date range. A recommendation would be to add a one-mile personal or uncategorized trip.
