Auto Tracking with Car Bluetooth

Note: Make sure Bluetooth is turned on and that you've allowed Bluetooth permission on your device.

Choosing Auto Tracking with Car Bluetooth

  1. Open the TripLog app > Main Menu (three-line icon ≡) > Auto Tracking On > Auto Tracking Option > Car Bluetooth.

  2. Select Car Bluetooth: check the Bluetooth devices you want to trigger auto tracking. The device list corresponds to the ones you've already paired previously.

  3. Link Bluetooth Devices to Vehicles: select the device you've connected and choose a vehicle to apply your trips to.

  4. Set the Speed Threshold: choose the threshold at which tracking should start (Immediate Start available on Android only).

  5. Trip Start Detection Window: set the value for auto tracking. This value will determine how long TripLog monitors movement after the Bluetooth connection occurs. (For example, when you start your vehicle, the app will wait that amount of time before you drive, before it stops monitoring. If you typically warm up/cool down your vehicle before driving or usually handle paperwork inside the vehicle, you should extend this wait time).

  6. When you reach your destination, stop the vehicle and turn it off. This will disconnect Bluetooth and end the trip.

  7. You can choose Show Edit Trip After Auto Tracking. The trip edit form will appear. Fill in the rest of the details and save the trip.
