Notice: This article covers the differences between TripLog Drive and Beacon.
TripLog Drive: TripLog Drive™ captures GPS data and transmits it to the TripLog app (offline/online) for processing via Bluetooth. It detects when your trips start and end, and lets you classify trips. Waypoints are transmitted within 2 minutes. The TripLog Drive offers real-time tracking as well as an Offline mode fallback if the mobile device is not available. Built-in storage allows for the dive to operate for a few days before needing to offload trips. Trip classification can be configured to process automatically using the app settings or overridden with the button on the rear of the device.
TripLog Beacon: Our original device that offers an upgraded tracking experience over the app alone, utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy to track and identify the vehicle you are using. Combined with an iBeacon device using Nearby technology, the TripLog app detects when your trips start and end with accurate and reliable mileage tracking.
