Plug your device into power and open TripLog on iOS.
If you're in the habit of plugging your phone into a charger while driving, TripLog's "Plug into power and go" feature could be perfect for you. This feature sets up your phone to record mileage every time it's plugged into a power source.
Don't worry!
TripLog won't start recording the trip if you're not traveling faster than 5 mph (8 km/h), so it won't record anything if you leave your phone charging overnight. To use this feature, follow these steps:
Open the TripLog app > Menu > Turn On AutoStart > Set the AutoStart option to "Plug in to power and go" (iOS), or open the TripLog app > Menu > Settings > Set the AutoStart option to "Plug-N-Go" (Android).
Plug your device into a power source. You'll see the notification message "Power plugged in, wait for speed > 5 mph."
Start driving. Once you reach 5 mph for one or two seconds, a new trip will be created and GPS tracking will begin. You'll see another message indicating the "trip started automatically." You may also hear an alert if the app is running in the background.
When you reach your destination, stop the vehicle and unplug your device from the power source. You'll see the message "trip stopped automatically" and may hear another alert.
Optionally, you can tap or swipe the notification message to open the trip and adjust the data. The message will disappear after 30 seconds.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the next trip.
