Emailing your Receipts to Automatically create Expense Entries

TripLog Expense features Receipt capture and multiple ways of importing these receipts to your account.

Simply forward your receipt to receipts@triplog.net

This process will

  • Process the receipt to read the data in the receipt

  • Create an Expense Transaction with the Date/Time, Merchant, and Amount

  • We will attempt to process this transaction with AI to categorize and classify the expense.

  • Attach the receipt as an attachment for review.

You will receive a confirmation email that the item was processed with a summary. This will allow you to verify that the entry was read correctly.

Troubleshooting

The receipt was imported incorrectly:

Depending on the format, there may be an error reading the document. This is a possibility depending on the receipt and quality of the document. You may need to correct any issues with the expense transaction. Please refer to the OCR Article to manually import the receipt.
